Mermaid process

I had the urge to do a full illustration of a mermaid for a while now, so I did.
I started doing silhouettes, chose the one I liked the most and pushed it a little bit, colored the back ground with plane colors and then added the detail, same goes for the mermaid. I was constantly checking the values.
I also searched for tons of reference. I know it could have been better but I just wanted to move on so bad.
Wish I had added more detail to the lion fish.
Even though that I really liked the final result :)
