Morning coffee

So I'm really happy to announce I got a part time job as a background artist in Darkar Company studios :)
So I've been a little busier than I usually am, I took a incredibly long time finishing this one D:
I was almost done and then spring break happened, and you know how it is spending awesome time with your family and stuff :)
anyways
I feel like I worked for too long in this one and kind of got sick of it D:
and then I wouldn't draw other stuff because I felt guilty for not finishing this one <,<
I'm glad it's all over now xD
I used the glazing method again I need so much more practice, with backgrounds, and well pretty much everything

new concept based on Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde

Meet my new characters based on the Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde concept for my character design course, we started with silhouettes then gave them some detail, and after a few corrections I finally drew the turn around, expression sheet and attitudes.

This turn around was a little tricky for me because I'm used to draw turn arounds  when the character is in a very basic T pose.

I  had so much fun drawing the expression sheet and the attitude drawings :)
I think it shows how much fun I had. I hope you like him as much as I do.

The only way to get better at drawing is ....Drawing!

 For this weeks assignment we were asked to draw some realistic hands, eyes, noses and ears and then try doing some in a more toony way.
One shouldn't be afraid to draw anything, and if something makes you struggle all you ahve to do is draw it! a lot, until you get the hold of it :)
It was a really inspiring lesson.
In other news I got a freelance project for this week and I miiight get a job, wish me luck~

some evangelion quickies

So last week I got the chance to watch the 3 movies of the rebuild of evangelion at the cinema. The theater was really far from my house but it was totally worth it.
it made me go on an evangelion mood :)
I used reference for both of the poses
the color was added in a really quick way and I really liked the result 

Bowler hat man

For this week's assignment we were supposed to draw a bowler hat man as realistically as possible, then to create new caricatured variations.
I struggled at the beginning but then as the different shapes started coming up I realized it was really fun.
I'm definitely doing this again in the future :)
